The maximum allowance for retail drug sales in Uzbekistan from August 1 is planned to be reduced from 25% to 20%, according to gazeta.uz. The draft government decree was prepared by the State Committee on Privatization, Demonopolization and Development of Competition.

According to the draft document, from August 1, the maximum trade allowances for wholesale enterprises may be set at no more than 10% of the base cost, and for retailers — no more than 20% of the purchase price against the operating surcharges of 20% and 25% respectively.

Предельный размер надбавки для розничной продажи лекарств в Узбекистане с 1 августа планируется снизить с 25% до 20%, сообщает gazeta.uz. Проект постановления правительства об этом подготовлен Государственным комитетом по приватизации, демонополизации и развитию конкуренции.

В соответствии с проектом документа, с 1 августа может быть установлен предельный размер торговых надбавок для предприятий оптовой торговли в размере не более 10% от базовой стоимости, а для предприятий розничной торговли — не более 20% от покупной стоимости против действующих надбавок в 20% и 25% соответственно.

Uzbekistan and China signed a Protocol on the expansion of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation within the framework of the construction of the «Economic belt of the Silk Road», reports gazeta.uz

The protocol provides that Uzbekistan and China, within the framework of the joint construction of the «Economic belt of the Silk Road» will fully apply the current mechanism of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, and deepen and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, investment, financial, transport and other areas.

The main focus will be on increasing trade in basic goods, implementing infrastructure projects, reconstruction of industrial facilities and the creation of industrial parks, Xinhua notes.

With the initiative of the «Economic belt of the Silk Road» in September 2013, the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping spoke.

During the talks, the parties discussed a wide range of regional and international issues, identified priorities for the further development of Uzbekistan’s cooperation with the UN and its specialized institutions and agencies.

At the heart of the issues discussed were the problems of preserving and strengthening security and stability in the Central Asian region, which are becoming a protracted nature of the problem of Afghanistan.

The signing of the United Nations Development Assistance Framework for 2016-2020 is an important milestone.
